Why won't my boyfriend buy me anything or do sweet things?

Me and my guy have been together almost 2 years and, he has not bought me anything really before I got flowers once and a pair of pants when we first were dating. But I have never got anything for my birthday or our 1 yr. I know he loves me with all his heart but it bugs me. And he don't do sweet things anymore like he use to. I still keep things alive ;(
