Why wont my bluetooth work?

I recently bought a Dual XHD 7714 w/ built in bluetooth and HD radio. My cell phone which is a LG Xenon will not work with the bluetooth on the cd player???? Everybody else has tried their phones and it works fine. Any suggestion on why this would happen? Also, it pairs fine and does everything normally, there is just no sound.
