Why won't my bluetooth let me send pictures on my phone?

I have the Samsung Alias 2(verizon) and my friend has the Samsung Rant(sprint) and we are trusted bluetooth but whenever it tries to pair it says its failed or that we arn't trusted sources. how do we fix this?
