Why won't my blackberry pearl charge?

My battery was kind of low after working all day, so when I got home I charged it. It charged about half way so i took if off the charger and did a couple things around the house. I got a text, and about 5 minutes later it was low again. Now it wont charge it all, its at 0%, radio off, no charger is working, not even my usb cord.. HELP PLEASE
