Why Won't My Blackberry Bold Charge from a Wall Charger?

My Blackberry Bold 9000 battery died last night, and I had not been able to charge it at all from either of the 2 wall chargers I have with the unit. However, the battery does charge from my laptop using the USB cord.

Any idea why this happens?
