Why Won't My Alltel Internet Connection Merge With My Other Local Networks/360?

For months, I've been trying to connect my internet via ethernet cord to my 360. I'm tired of this shit. I've tried merging but it won't give me an option when I highlight my Alltel internet and my unidentified network (which I know is my 360). I made a new local connection that has my alltel as the connection, I merged it with the 360, but everytime I test the connection on my 360 it won't work. My gay little alltel internet is just a little black thing you plug into a usb port. From their you use the 'access' shortcut, then their is a button that says 'connect' and you push it, then their, it connects. I highlight my 360 and alltel to merge but it won't let me. I've plugged in my alltel into the 360 and that doesn't work. I got the info put to automatic but all the gateway and ip address and other stuff are just 0's. The other thing is that in my network and sharing, my alltel has (private network) and my 360 is 'public network'. I'm not sure if that'll help, but decided to add it to this question. And I don't have a router, so I'm trying to just get it with the ethernet cord. Please help me, I"ve been trying this and am just fed up with it. I'm just giving up, this is my last hope. So please someone find a way or just straight up tell me it won't work with my gay ass cell company cause I'm tired of wasting so many hours and nights staying up for this.
