Why won't my 2000 Dodge Caravan with 3.3 engine start easy?

I have changed the fuel pump and filter. That didn't help. It has new spark plugs and wires. I have to crank it for probably 30 seconds before it will start usually. after it does start it smells like it was flooded. Every now and then it will start real quick but most of the time it doesn't. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like your injectors are leaking down.
When the vehicle sits for a while the injectors can leak down flooding the engine and causing loss of pressure in the fuel system.
Try opening the throttle when it does this, if it starts easier you should consider replacing the injectors.
best of Luck!
