i have a 85 jeep cherokee pioneer with a 2.8L v6 auto. we just rebuilt the moter and drove it a few miles then came home and shut it off then the next day it would not start so we found out it blew the module in the distributor so we replaced it 6 times then bought a new one still nothing. we put Better ground staps on it. nothing.. it has power to the coil just no power to the distributor. it has a stone age computer in it. witch might be the problem but i need help.

This is why chrysler needs bailed out. I have a 2001 grand jeep laredo and have a similar problem. Replaced engine, radiator, timing belt, battery and still had the same problems.. Wouldn't start. Finally i realized that the fan was not working causing the truck to over heat which causes it not to start because of the sensor. I had the truck rigged with a wire to turn the fan on automatically. it starts every time

shot in the dark. . . but did you check your relay switches. . . sometimes there is interior corrosion that you can't see til you pop the tops off.
