Why will my Panasonic DMR-BS850EB Blu-Ray Recorder not play audio on some blu-ray discs?

Video and audio is ok on 'bonus features' , video but no audio on main movies. Back to the Future Trilogy and Fantasia/Fantasia 2000. Older blu-rays play without problems.
