Hello all,
I have a 95 RAnger 2wd 2.3l and I'm having trouble!
I can start the truck first thing in the morning and it runs great. I drive to work w/o any problems. I come out after work and the truck starts great. I drive home w/o any problems. The problems start when I turn it off for any reason between points A&B! If I start the truck and then turn it off it will cran and crank. I can press/depress the gas pedal rapidly and it will sometimes start. I have changed more parts than I should have. New fuel pump, IAC valve, fuel pressure reg, fuel filter, (used working) injectors, throttle body pos sensor. The truck runs great
otherwise. It has 160k miles and I usually just drive it back and forth to work, but I'd hate to get stranded! I have noticed that it idles higher than normal once in a while. I have almost run out of parts to change! Timing issue? lol
Thanks to all that reply.

Look for a vacuum leak . some where it would be affected by heat. EGR,etc. Not saying thats the problem but its going to be something small and often over looked.(like loose ground when heat expands the metal its screwed into. I had a T-Bucket do that . ended up being the ground wire for the fuel pump. Beat my head against the wall for days before I found it (by accident) Also try banging the gas tank when it happens. Fuel pump could be sticking. some times even new ones hang. Bleed fuel line. Could be vapor locking. This usually only occur es when engine is warm
