Why will my 86 ford bronco 302 fuel injected aod 4x4 EB edition not rev over 3000 rpms?

My water pump went out I changed it. Now my bronco will not rev over 3 grand My kick down was wrong I tried to adjust got it close when my truck went crazy . In gear driving it will not rev over 3000 rpms hold it to the floor it slows like its running out of fuel, back out of it and it runs great stand on it and it backfires through the air cleaner. Cap and rotor are both good and it has a brand new fuel filter. I did move the distributor wires not the plug wires out of the way during the water pump change. I cant figure out what the hell is going on. Before the pump swap It ran like a dream, and was getting pretty damn good fuel mileage. Now I have no idea was has happened.I just bought it from a friend It has been sittin for a year. I have been driving it everyday for the last two weeks and it has run like a dream till now Please help me Thanks
 
Plug reading should be light brown.

Plug reading whitish shows lean mixture, lack of fuel flow.

Plug reading blackish shows rich mixture, lack of airflow.

Heavy deposits shows lack of spark.

Since you moved distributor wires, check that those are well seated... and also they may be old enough that just being moved around may have damaged the cores and it is time for new wires. I think wires are good for around 30k-50k miles, how old are your wires?
