The world of art is gifted with great minds and absolutely stupid comments.
Proof in hand: while browsing through DeviantART, I come across a photomanipulation; it's a woman with three legs. I click, check out how well it's done, and then scroll down to see the comments. Of the three comments, two were:
"why does she have 3 legs??"
Come on. Really, come fucking on. I'd have understood if the person was asking about the character's origins or something of that matter but the effect right now is the same as if I'm writing a scene where, say, Jack points a gun at Jason and some dipshit comes up behind my shoulder and goes "why is Jack pointing a gun at Jason?!!" even though they know absolutely nothing about the story and its characters.
It's as if anything outlandish or even remotely different in the world of art is met with either stupid interrogation or downright rejection. Something along the lines of "OMG HOW IN TEH FUKKING WORLD CAN U B SO CRAZY TO PUT 3 LEGS ON A CHICK?!?!??!?!!!!!?!!?!?!" To this, I reply:
A little suggestion to those who browse art and who are lame about it: You know who you are, stop questionning why someone thought outside the box and just enjoy the fucking pictures.
