Why when does my photos on facebook go straight to as profile picture? ?

When I upload a new photo to Fb on my iPod itouch my photos keeps updating itself to profile photo. Instead of going to wall it chnges my recent profile photo. I don't want that to happen. What can I do to make it stop an go straight to wall. Ps I did go to account and photo editing but nothing worked.. Any suggestions?! Please!
