Why weren't people ranting over all that media coverage for Elvis?

And Lady Di? Like some are ranting over MJ's memorial? Lady Di didn't even live here, although I liked her and thought that she was a true humanitarian like Michael and seemed like a sweet mistreated woman by the royals. People are still going crazy over Elvis (I don't know why) and some very ignorant people are saying that he is still alive. <Fainting!> People did not have to watch MJ's memorial if they didn't want to. That's fact.
 
I think because there is more media coverage now than there was back then, not to mention this is Michael Jackson. You can look at someone like Farrah Fawcett who died a couple hours before MJ, and she barely received any coverage once Michael's hospitalization spread. It really depends on the person who died as to how much coverage they get.
