Why was my car stereo not stolen?

Last night someone came down my block and broke into about five cars stealing stereos. My car was between two of the five who's stereos were taken, but mine was not touched. Does the fact that I still have the factory installed stereo in there have anything to do with it? Or did I just get lucky? I have a '99 Mercedes ML320
