Being against free speech? I used my right to free speech yesterday, and I was reported for it. Granted, I deserved it, but it was most likely NOT social liberals that reported it:

Question: why does it seem like many liberals are opposed to free speech?

I was talking about the hypocrisy. It was a post questioning liberals stance on free speech, and then my answer was deleted. I agree, I violated the TOS, but it was worth it.
Bwana - agreed, it was a lame answer - to a lame question. Classical liberals don't want to do anything to infringe on free speech.
Seems a bit overboard Jane. I ride my Harley every day - haven't been pulled over yet.
 
conservatives want to DOMINATE the dialogue.... so, when others complain about them... they whine and cry... When others speak... they are the FIRST to try to silence them...

pure hypocrisy.... as usual from folks who are inherently hypocrites.
 
I didn't know that "social conservatives always complain about social liberals". As a liberal, I utilize my right to free speech and will continue to do so. It sounds like you just don't know the rules for YA.
 
Apparently, you don't understand the concept.

Government cannot infringe on your right to speak freely.

But Yahoo! isn't the government, they are a private business that is allowing you access, and has set speech rules that you either abide by or you will get your answer deleted.

You violated the community guidelines in your answer, so it was rightfully deleted.

Besides, it was a lame and stupid answer.
 
Obama has been talking about The Free Speech in the Constitution and saying that the Constitution is "out of date". He has also stated numerous times that he wants to limit Free Speech on the Computer and that "Any One that Speaks Against Me is a Criminal of the Worse Magnitude!" According to What Obama sent to Homeland Security - Conservative Christians that are Republican and Attend the Racial Tea Parties are Worse than Al-Qeada Operatives! He includes our Troops after they have served Over-Seas! He includes Harley motorcycle riders as well! Yesterday on our Way to our local Library - We saw All Motorcycles - Especially Harlie's being pulled over by POLICE!

I believe that Obama is Abusing The Constitutional Rights of Americans and America! He was the Wrong Choice for America!

We Need Common Sense - Honesty - Accountability - To Enforce the Laws of Our Constitution - Term Limits with All Elected Officials and, NO Life-Time Benefits for Any! (mine)

I see on both sides most people forget common courtesy and it becomes a insult fight. I see that more on liberal side when they do not agree with the conservative. Point hilton calling miss cali a B****. Was that really called for since she just voiced a opinion, NO.
 
You probably had a little tit for tat going on, I got reported for calling some one an idiot in another post. Note: I am not calling anyone that here. But it seems that at this point, both of us had it coming, so I don't think it is a matter for free speech but a matter of an on-line community's guide lines that neither of us followed at the time.
