It's ironic that I am posting on this thread (because I fall into the categories JavieBot described)...

But I think the reason a lot of people don't post on The Simpsons (the board and show) is because while many may be fans of the show...

It is in fact a cartoon and in that sense, it is very limited to only the weekly episdoes because the characters aren't real and there are not the accompanying promotional events and side projects that shows with real cast merabers have.

In other worRAB, we can't discuss Homer's appearance on Letterman, or Bart's interview on Conan O'Brien -- I mean the REAL Conan O'Brien ;) -- And this factor is what is what is missing from The Simpsons because it doesn't have real stars that go out and actively promote the show.

However, Hank Azara was on Conan the other night and I even thought about posting a thread like "Hank Azara: Origins of Moe, Apu and others Voices" because he spent a good half of the interview doing the voices and telling the real life inspirations of those voices...

But then I figured (in all honesty) who cares? Or that you guys probabably already knew the origins and I'd be wasting my time.

So... I am not trying to be a pessemist... But I think the Simpsons IS a very limited show in terms of what, where and how you can discuss it and that is just something fans are going to have to work around as far as the internet goes.
