Why the US media released Osama Bin Laden's videos?

I've been talking to a friend from Dubai about Bin Laden. I told him Bin Laden is an evil person with evil intentions.He told me otherwise.Well,I'm not ignorant but I'm really knowledge deficit in certain areas. What interest me is why the US media keep releasing his videos.Why would they want his message be heard?My friend had an interesting theory supported by reliable evidence.Being a native Arab speaker and fluent English speaker,it's obvious he can translate Arabic into English well.He claimed US media had translated Bin Laden's words into what they want America to hear.In truth,in one of Osama's speeches he said: If I hate freedom why did I attack the USA?Why didn't I attack first world European nations(They're western too)?He added: I promise USA peace if they give us peace.The video about him admitting to the crash of WTC is bodgy.When asked why he looked diff,they claimed tht he dyed his beard black.In Islam,dying black is NOT ALLOWED.He also appeared fatter.What do you think?
 
Because the media is a propaganda machine, a weapon of mass deception. The media were reporting Bush's lies to lead the war in Iraq, the same lies that they report about Bin Laden who may be dead years ago or doesn't even exist.

NEVER TRUST the NEWS!.. go there yourself and find out the truth. I do that.
