Tesco are selling pringles at £1.99. a 33% rise in price. is this justified? The contents of a pringles tube gets less and the price keeps going up. remember when it was a 200g tube? now its 160g

credit crunch.

tactic for food producers is:
first lower the size, aka 200 down to 160 - but must go with a new pack design to mask the change

second increase the price

a plan almost all food producers use when the going gets tough

All the supermarkets/food manufacturers have been down-sizing the size of the products but still charging the same, if not more, for their produce. Just look at the size of cereal boxes. They don't call us Rip-off Britain for nothing! Still, we Brits do take anything unlike the Yanks who will boycott products in a heart-beat if they feel they are being fleeced.

The prices of pure chemicals are increasing and they can't use industrial grade chemicals.

YES!! Here they use to be like $.75, and just a few weeks ago there $1.50! Its ridiculas, but they just came out with a lays brand here of the same kind of pringles chips and they're only $1. but they dont have very many flavors.
But yes I totally Agree!
