why the face?

i'm guessing acne is most prevalent on the face because that is where our skin has the most sebaceous/oil producing glanRAB? would that be correct?

i've had acne for over 25 years. to say i'm sick of it doesnt even come remotely close to how devastated i feel. i have tried everything - just recently started proactiv and it seems to be helping already for some reason, thank gawd. i hope i dont build up a resistance to it. its hard to be optimistic. i guess i should know the answer to my question by now, but i'm not sure and acne is still a bit of a medical mystery.

i get acne on my neck, upper back and chest, but the face is by far the worst hit area. can someone tell me why we dont break out on our calves or arms instead? (not that the stray zit doesnt hit these areas as well) why is it the face that is affected the most?

thanks

I believe you are correct about that, that their are more glanRAB in these areas that flare up more with acne. But there are a lot of websites you can visit that explain the basics of acne, why it happens, the different types, the reason why some of the medications work. I think most of them even come with pictures that helps....or not really...just neat pictures
