Why the chat box appears only when I open my mails on some computers ?

I am using the new yahoo mail (beta). Depending on which computer I use, the chat appears or not (chat through yahoo mail).
Does somebody know why ? And how can I enable the chat when it doesn't appear automatically on my Yahoo Mail ?
