I am really in need of some help. I am doing a presentation on recylcing and if you could take my survey on recycling it would be greatly appreciated, I have to survey others for my presentation...thank you, and best answer points will be given to anyone who can thoroughly complete the survey.
1. Scary statistics, what's the most frightening statistic you know about garbage or a statistic you know that may encourage others to recycle?
ex: The average U.S. citizen who chooses not to recycle throws out 250 water bottles per year.

2. Why should we recycle?

3. How does recycling help our environment?

4. How does not recycling harm our environment?

5. What are some things you can do as a person to help our environment? (In school/at home).

6. Any additional imput about recycling/opinions:

2.) and 3.) - Recycling allows us to conserve what plastic is already dug up to avoid exploiting the Earth for more vital resources, such as plastic and paper (we lose hundreds of thousands of trees each year from the latter, and although greedy land developers claim they "replant the tree", most of the time they don't to save time and money (which is absolutely ridiculous and harmful)).

4.)By avoiding recycling, you are sending a message that the Eath is not important and that it's okay for miners, developers, and branches of the construction industry to dig huge pits into the Earth and tear down many trees while not replant them just so you can a bottle of water.

5:In a room with a window with the sun out don't bother to turn on the lights. When you leave your computer for even for a few seconds turn off the monitor. When leaving the house and going a short distance walk instead of drive

6: recycling is very important please recycle.

Answer for #1:Did you know that plastic bottles fill 60% of landfills.

Answer for #2:We should recycle so then there will be less space used in landfills and more space for grass to grow flowers to go kids to play so on and so on.

Answer for #3:It protects from pollution (air pollution, water pollution etc. etc.). It reuses its such as aluminum and plastic bottles

Answer for #4:If any items from a landfill get into the water a innocent seal could die or a whale

Answer for #5:In a room with a window with the sun out don't bother to turn on the lights. When you leave your computer for even for a few seconds turn off the monitor. When leaving the house and going a short distance walk instead of drive

Answer for #6: recycling is very important

Questions # 2.) and 3.) - Recycling allows us to conserve what plastic is already dug up to avoid exploiting the Earth for more vital resources, such as plastic and paper (we lose hundreds of thousands of trees each year from the latter, and although greedy land developers claim they "replant the tree", most of the time they don't to save time and money (which is absolutely ridiculous and harmful)).

(By the way, Zephyr Hills has their new "Eco-Friendly" water bottle line out. It utilizes 30% less plastic than average water bottles. I encourage everyone to go out and by some of them rather than other water bottles. Z.H. is so much more natural and untampered.

Back to recycling, you can get money for recycling at your local redemption center. So, what is the reason you wouldn't recycle?

5.)You can reduce/eliminate your consumption of animal products and stick to much healthier, non-processed, protein-rich meat substitutes as well as drinking soy or rice milk, and using dairy product substitutes. "Earth Balance" and "Soy Garden" are my personal favorite vegan butter substitues. They are made with 79% vegetable oils (including the super-healthy, Omega-3 rich, "flaxseed oil" and sunflower oil as well. Also, it is completely vegan and free of butterfat, cream, milk, cholesterol, and saturated fat, yet it tastes (I think) better than butter, while still having the creamy taste).

Soy-sation makes great vegan cheese substitutes (most is completely vegan, and some has insignificant levels of lactose, but it's fine. they will both work. As long as lactose or dairy isn;t one of the main ingredients, it's justifiable for you to eat it). Soy-sation melts liek real cheese and is great for making a pizza. melt it on your favorite bread (I use pita bread) and delight your taste buds permanently.

You can find every listed substitute above, at your local health food store. Vegan ice cream is very common at basic, local supermarkets. They have rice, soy, and tofy ice cream that all tastes like the original, ONCE AGAIN, Minus the butterfat and unhealthy cholesterol levels, etc.

Every time you use the computer (or leave it on when not in use), watch TV (or leave it on when not in use), or run your water (or leave it on when not in use), etc. you are supporting the power plants that supply that water. Thus, you are responsible for releasing carbon emissions into the atmosphere through the power factories/plants.

6.)RECYCLING IS GOOD! CONTINUE DOING IT! I SECOND, BACK, ENCOURAGE, AND SUPPORT YOU ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
