Why should I buy from Apple directly?

Read the two options at the bottom for easier explanation of my question...

Detailed explanation:
I'm going to buy an iPod Touch when I get my first job in 2 weeks. It costs 399.99 on Apple's website and it comes with headphones. But WalMart sells the iPod for 344.54 with the earphones aswell. But I want the USB connector/charger tool. I have a target gift card for $25 so I'll buy the connector from target to save a little money with the gift card. I added up the costs and I saw that it's a little cheaper in the end to buy from WalMart and Target instead of Apple (Ipod and earphones and then purchasing connector from target)

But is there something missing? Why should I spend the extra money to buy directly from apple?

So heres a little summary if u didnt understand whats above...

Option one: Buy iPod Touch 3rd gen. 64GB with headphones from Apple's website ($399.99) and then buy an Apple USB connector/charger from Target using $25 gift card which will make it really only cost 5 dollars for the charger. In total I'd spend about $405 and then plus tax which would make it like $435

Option two: Buy same version of iPod Touch from Walmart for $344.54. Buy USB connector from Target for $29.99 and then I will use the $25 gift card so there will only be about 5 dollars left to pay for it. In total it would cost $349.53. With tax it would be about $385

So I'm saving a good amount of cash (about $50) if I buy everything from Target and Walmart.

But what is so special about buying from Apple? Is the 50 extra bucks worth it to buy from apple? do i still get the 90 days to ask questions and all that crap? thankkk youuuu
