I was in a queue at Starbucks one Friday morning. everyone was agitated and hostile. i don't know what happened but i think my thick Japanese accent may have contributed. this is how it went.
the lady said "welcome to Starbucks. may i take ur order?" (she was already angry and exhausted)
i said "yes"
she said. "okay what would u like?"
i said "a cup of coffee"
she said "what kind?"
i said "maybe paper, styrofoam cup"
she said "no coffee. r u looking for iced coffee or hot coffee?
I said "what's the difference?"
she practically yelled "one would be iced. one would be hot!"
i said "like me and u. ur cold and i am HOT"
then a young blonde woman behind me shouted at me and said "why r u so stupid? just hurry up and order!"
I said "slow down sister, ur on edge! no more coffee for u!"
the cashier lady then yelled "what kind of coffee do u want ?"
i said "the coffee with the things with the stuff on top."
the out of frustration perhaps, she took off her apron and tossed it on the ground and shouted I quit! and she walked out calling all of us starbucks customers stupid. what the hell was her problem? did she need ot get laid?
