I just read a news article on Yahoo stating that 60% of Australians are for same sex marriage. Now that seems a reasonable statistic to me, pretty much everyone i know is all for it, none of us can see any possible negative implications from it whatsoever (and why should there be? theyre people, they live together anyway, whats harm does a piece of paper and a party do?)
I was rather shocked that when i read the comments below, so many people were completely against same sex mariage. they claimed that the survey must have been taken in a gay nightclub or something, because if it was done anywhere else the results would be 100% negative or something ridiculous like that. It made me extrememly angry to read, mostly because i dont understnad what peoples probmlem is. so if i could just get to my question....
What makes people feel so strongly against same sex marriage, what in it would affect you or the wider community in any way, let alone negatively, and if its a religious thing, have you seen how much homosexuality and buggery there is in the bible???? its ridiculous!
