I already tried to upgrade WMP too and it didnt change a thing either... I forgot to mention that as well...
My windows media player 9 doesnt play videos anymore , I only get sound.
I mean , WMV , AVI , MPEG .... none of them works ... I only get sound ...
My codec works fine on BS Player or Media Player Classic or VLC ...
When I play a video with Media Player , I have the little icons of FFDSHOW for the audio AND the video , but no pictures...
I still can see streaming videos on Windows Media Player... I tried to restore but it hasnt changed anything... I tried to uninstall and re install ... it hasnt changed anything...
So I guess there's a component of Windows that no longer works ....
Can anyone help me ?
Please dont tell me to install the codecs as they work fine and have un/re install them 5 times.
And please dont tell me to use VLC ... it's a Windows Media Player problem and I want it fixed.
