why my HTC Touch can't detect my ssid when I am in home, Pls help?

HTC Touch cell phone(CDMA) not able to detect my home networking wireless modem or my SSID
I tried to configure but I think it was wrong. My ISP Sympatico(Canada). Could you pls help me on this issue.
