why my car miss around 40-50mpht hen stop over 55mph?

i change all these spark plugs. fuel filter- do tunes up nothing .i went to pep boys they told me it,s might be the tork converter on the trany that,s going bad, since i, ve 22'' wheel on it but trany shift good no skipping-it been service 2weeks ago-any good idea
 
Does it miss fire at around that speed ,or is it surging?
a dirty trans filter could cause it to surge --which may feel like a miss fire---change the fluid and filter----a bad torgue converter should effect the way it takes off from a dead start also, not just cruising---how did pep boys make this determination?--was it on a diagnalysis machine?
