I have replaced turn signal relay, turn signal switch, and I took out all the fuses in the fuse box and observed carefully and they were not blown. Further, there is no more room in fuse box for another fuse to be put, so I know nothing is missing. Also, when you turn the hazard lights on, all 4 bulbs will light up, so I know it's not a blown bulb. I can remember when the turn signals quit. It was a gradual process during which they started acting like they were shorting out until finally, they just quit working.
Is there some kind of replacement wiring harness I can buy that would be an easy fix? I am stuck at this point and have even considered an alternate wiring job with separate switch for turn signals- but would that pass inspection? Thanks for reading.
Thank you Craig. I was just wondering if you could answer one more question? When you say "auto cancels" do you mean that it has to automatically shut off the turn signal after you complete a turn? If so, is that function truly necessary to pass inspection? I guess that would mean wiring the wires to the factory turn signal switch that's already on the truck. Thanks.
