When the car "dies", turn the key off for a few seconds then turn the key
to the run position and listen for the fuel pump to make sure its in
working order. If you don't hear the fuel pump, its probably bad. If the
fuel pump works, it could be spark related like bad coil packs. When the
car stalls, does the "check engine" light iiluminate? If it does take it
to a dealer to have the codes read. I had an Isuzu hombre once with
similar problems, it had a bad cam and crank sensor.
