...death row gets it for free? What kind of message is this sending other nations who wish to overthrow us?
What kind of message is that sending our kids?
Would it not be more intelligent to care the people who make this Country run and Get rid of the ones that drag it down because they refuse to play by the rules of society.
 
Because we have to wait 12 years to murder a murderer. They seem sometimes to have more rights than we do. It makes me bushed.
 
Forgetting the death row part, the reason we provide education to inmates is to reduce recidivism. The justice system likes to believe it is focused on improving society rather than taking revenge on those who violate its rules. I guess we could make an exception for death row inmates, but honestly, I don't see the point.

I think the message it sends kids is that society can show some grace to those who wrong it. Revenge, hate and anger are the sorts of things that lead people into crime in the first place.
