Why kill yourself, what's the point?

Why would you go to a fast food restaraunt, spend like $7 on food that doesn't fill you up for more than 3 hours? Why not go to like Albertson's or Rayley's or Safeway? There you could get so much more food, and it's better for you?

I guess I'm a little biased because I am an athlete, but when we have all these people who complain about being overweight and not having enough energy, well, I wonder why?!?! When you put crud food into your body, your body will put out crud energy in return!! If you take an extra 5 minutes and go to a grocer rather than a fast food place, then you can be so much more healthy!

So my question is this: after all I have said, why would you still go eat fast food, rather than go to a grocery store and get real food?

A lot of people have an addiction to the junk food. So that might be why some people do it.

Others feel that their lives are too busy to make the time to buy ingredients, prepare the food and then clean up from it. So that might be why some people do it.

For some people, they are so far past depressed about their life, burned out because they are too busy and feel trapped by their circumstances and therefore lack the motivation and self esteem to really put for the effort to be healthy.

Health is an issue in our society....obesity has truly become a nasty epidemic. Instead of whining about other people, why not be supportive and encouraging instead?? You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar!

If you find that you tend to be healthy and athletic, why not befriend someone you come in contact with every day that isn't living a healthy lifestyle. Invite them to come along to lunch one day and take them to someplace that serves healthy foods. Or how about inviting them to go on a small hike with you on the weekend. Plan something you are doing with another friend and say "hey we are going on a hike to this really neat place, want to come along?"

No pressure exercise and diet examples can really go a long way for someone who struggles with choosing a healthy lifestyle.
