why judge a dog by it's reputation, it's how it's trained right? what do you think?

for exzample pitbulls. They are said to be known to attack and be aggressive. But really i think it's how you handle them. Like if you let a child have w/e it wants and then boomm... one day it has a fit because it can't have somthing. That's the way the child was taught. and same with dogs. If it was taught to fight and be aggresive then it would learn to be that. But if the dog was taimed, handled real gentle, and taught the right way it would be a big baby. I mean really.....
