our public education system? My proposals:
Vouchers - that give parent's some real choice, and also gives the public ran option a run for Our money (after all you libbies want choices - right?).
Kick out the unions.
Bring back corporal punishment.
Alternative "tech" educational schools for children who are not academically inclined but excel at trades.
Systemic changes to the pay structure: incentives for good teachers and termination for bad teachers.
Excellent point Patches: I agree 100% the problem isn't financial but cultural - and I also agree the politicians sentance our children to the failing systems that they themselves would never dream of sending their little darlings to.
