So there's this girl I like a lot. I mean, she's amazing. We used to be so close and talked/texted all the time but over the past couple months or so we've been drifting apart and I'm not sure why. My theory is that she was or is into me (she used to always call me "amazing", "cute", "hilarious", told me she slept each night with the stuffed animal I got her for her birthday, etc) and I didn't make a move fast enough (out of being nervous) and she thought I wasn't interested.
Anyway, I don't think she's mad at me or anything because last week she was feeling really sick so I made her a personalized get well soon card in photoshop. I left her the jpg of it in her ask box on Tumblr (where we both follow each other) and she wrote back in my inbox saying "OH MY GOSH. That made me so so so happy. Awww. Thank you <3". Also, earlier this week she made some pretty upset sounding posts. Like, the most upset I've seen her act before. And neither one had anything to do with me, for the record. So, I made her a custom V-Day card to cheer her up and left it in her ask box. It said I was sorry her day was so bad and I reminded her that she's a special, awesome and beautiful girl.
The next morning she wrote back to me just saying: "<3 <3 <3 Thanks
". Short response but still...that's better than nothing right? Or a negative response, ha. Yet, several days earlier I called her and she didn't answer or get back to me. I called the next day and got the same.
What do I so or do next? I really really do not want to give up on her. I just don't know what to do. Why is she acting so distant? I don't get it.
I dunno what happened. Nothing bad was said or done or whatever, things just suddenly started drifting. I just want things to be back to normal. The fact that we go to different colleges (in the same state and not all that far apart, but still) doesn't help matters either. I miss her. a lot. What do I say to get a response out of her? Because we need to talk.
I just can't imagine how we could go from everything being so awesome to not talking at all. How I could go from being "one of her new favorite people" to someone she doesn't seem interested in even talking to...She's the most amazing girl I've ever met. Even after all this. She's the kind of girl I've always dreamed of finding. And I almost had her. Now I feel like everything's lost. I just really hope this can be saved.
