I have a Vizio sound bar that works great when I play video games and watch movies... however, when I try to use it while watching TV broadcast over the air, it just makes really obnoxious sounds. (not exactly static, but similar)
Anyways, my broadcast reception is really good (I have one of the 360 degree RCA digital antennas and the picture quality is excellent.)
The sound bar is connected to the TV with an optical cable. The antenna connects via an RF cable (might be called something else now but that's what I know it as)
So when I watch TV I just use the built-in speakers on my TV, which sound okay but I would much rather use the Vizio sound bar.
Any suggestions or tips to remedy this? Or is it a lost cause because of the type of cable I'm using?
