...working in my car? I have a 93 jeep cherokee sport. Lately ive been smelling like there is an electrical fire in my car. But it just went away out of no where. Well i was driving home and all of sudden i smell it again while driving with windows down but this time i actually saw smoke. Not alot just some. I didnt see where it came from tho. I park and inspected inside but nothin seems to be damage. I started to drive again but soon notice none of my meters were working. The lights still work. I check fuse box right under my steering near pedal and none of the fuses blew. So any one have any clues? Its a 93 jeep cherokee sport wit 180,000 miles on it.
I would think it burnt out but my headlights still work. They usually only go out when a fuse blows and i just replace the fuse and it works.

first of all u saw the smoke means there was fire and a cable got burn.some time cable can be rubbed against metal and get shorted out
and the fuse can be over rated and dint blow
so u have a cut wire(open circuit) some where
u need to look hard
