Why isnt my keyboard on my lg xenon working? it's difficult to text, someone help?

this happend today where i couldnt text anymore out of the blue, i didnt press any buttons, anybody knows why? and how i could fix it without going back to the store and fixing it? is there an easy way out? ive went everywhere on my phone, i cant find it, im getting pissed.
please help?
