Why isn't my car starting? (read description)?

Ok, I am getting impatient with my car now. It seems as though I have no fuel flow to the engine. BUT! When I take the fuel lines off at the engine, turn the key and try to start it, fuel is coming from the lines. Spewing everywhere, but still flowing. I have tried putting a bit of starter fluid in the intake and when I turn the key it tries to start up but it's only a little prime to see if it was sparking. It was. ANY information would be helpful on this matter. Also I have checked the fuses, relays, wires, fuel pump, and all other problems it could be that I am aware of. Also it is a 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier with a 2.8 liter engine 5 speed manual.
Ok I am reading the comments and I should mention that I replaced the engine with a new one. If that helps.
