The amount of Spam on Yahoo! Answers is incredibly high, so much so, that I'm sure that it deters many users from providing answers to posted questions. Yahoo! is clearly infested with spammers who are apparently able to create multiple accounts, and spam to their heart's content, without ever getting suspended, or in many cases, without even having their spam removed. Most of the spam comes in the form of affiliate links from such well-known spam sites as Netlog, OpinionOutpost, ClickBank and numerous other spam. Why does Yahoo! not simply block answers containing links to these well-known sites, along with links using shortened URLs? Doing so in my opinion, would eliminate 90% or more of all the spam we see here, and thus make Yahoo! a much more enjoyable experience for the rest of us.
