election than in the primaries? I have heard the argument that third party candidates who cannot win siphon votes away...such as Barr will take votes away from McCain.
But why isn't this true with primaries? For example, if you voted for John Edwards...why didn't anybody say he couldn't win...a vote for Edwards is like a vote for Obama...Edwards siphoned votes away from Hillary.
