I dont want to sound dumb, but i really dont know anything about all this war stuff that happens.


What would happen if we didnt have an army ?
 
No, you're smarter than the people who CAUSE the wars.

If we didn't have an army, the countries that did have armies would take us over instantly and we'd be doomed. The US is so paranoid about this that we currently have the largest military force in history.
