I have a three year old goldfish who's basically traveled the world with me. I also grew up in a house were we almost always had a goldfish and this is the first time this has happened.
I noticed a week ago that my fish was acting very sluggishly, preferring the bottom of his bowl and barely moving. A few days later a white slime started to collect at the top of this bowl, so I scrubbed the bowl down and replaced the water. Today I noticed the strange film yet again and I'm honestly baffled as to what it could be. At first I assumed it had something to do with the slime coat, but the symptoms don't seem right.
Any help or advice that anybody could give would be greatly appreciated.
