i think it is soap bubble. it is white and when you look at it close it is multicolored. how do i get this out? it is almost covering the entire surface. please help.

did you medicate your tank? that could cause bubbles. do you have bettas, gouramis, or paradise fish......they make bubble nests. i think your tank might be cycling and you do not have enough air circulation in your tank. do a 10-20% water change and buy an air pump

your tap water may be either too soft or hard so fill some bottles with tap water and store it over a couple of days theres a tap water treatment you should buy from the pet shop add a pipett full per 1.5ltrs of the replacement water . scoop out the foam and take out 3 inches of water. do you have live plants in your tank? the foam and color can come from the plant bacteria and plant oils too, filter some water out add a little salt and some kind of rocks. a squirt of anti-algi. check the water for nitrates and amonia with a test kit take out dead plants and fish that cause poison gas to the livestock. check the temperature of the water keep it below 80 degrees F. = 28oC and above 74oF= 23oC.. any chemicals or untreated water is instantly leathal to fish. dont use soap or household chems to clean tanks dont use bottled mineral water in the tank just use proper tap water with a spot of anti chlorine remover from the pet shop. syphon out 2ltr replace with half a litre per day for 3/4 days gradualy. when you do this take the filter pads and gently squeez them in the exracted water so as not to lose the fishes bio-foot print that they built up. but at least clenses the sytem slightly do this every 3 weeks take out at leas 1ltr every 2 to 3 weeks and replace with 1.5 ltrs of treated water. which is generaly tap water kept in a bottle for at least 48 hrs and a squirt of anti chlorine. keep a balance of plants and rock plants cause acidity rocks & tap wtr cause alkalinity.

Have you medicated your tank? I know my tank gets a layer of bubbles across the top after I put some meds in. For me, it's tetracylin that creates a bubble cover on the top of the water. If this is the case, do water changes and/or change the filter until the issue disappears.

Do you have a labyrinth fish, such as a Betta or Gourami? If so, then this is their bubble nest (what they use to breed).

it cant be soap its probably some sort of algae.i once left some betta pellets there and that came out.when you feed the fish make sure you drop it straight in the water and don't drop it some where else.just take it away with a glove or something.

don't let it stay in there !!!!!!!!! put it some where else just in case it is soap and how did it get in?
