why is there even a BLACK HISTORY MONTH?

I guess people feel it's fair due to all the history we hear about and it's geared toward one race. Bur in reality there were also african Americans developing and help creating things in this world. We wouldn't gain this knowledge if we didn't have black history month.

i think having black history month is soo stupid. not because black history is stupid (because it ISNT). but because there is a MONTH dedicted to it. so basically America is saying that the important black people in history are only worth A MONTH out of the year! thats BULL! black history should be embraced ALL YEAR ROUND. just like the history of the white man and everyone else. i mean we learns the history of the white man all year long so why not black history. thats why i think that black history MONTH is stupid and insulting. and im not the biggest fan of black folk in america, butim just wondering.

and ANOTHER thing ive always wondered is: why isnt there a hispanic history month or white,or american indian history month.
 
Probably because If It were all year round, Something might occur that people don't want happening? And the reason they don't have white, hispanic, or other such history months is they either had one and It got lost in time, Or there's nothing really to make for that month.
