Why is there a dotted line on my GM six disc radio?

I just purchased a used 2007 GMC Envoy. The radio works fine, premium sound system (bose), but for some reaosn there is a constant dotted line, even when the display is showing a song title. the headphone icon is also lit on the display, but i dont find a headphone jack anywhere?
