I don't get why the "devil" is suppose to be bad, the snake in the garden, wanted early humans to pertake of the fruit of knowledge, God did not wan't that. He basically wanted us to be innocent and remain in an animal state. Also another example of "god" not wanting humans to fulfill their full potential, is the tower of babel, basically he did not want us to reach him, or have the capability of advancing to his state of existence. Then in a way the devil, wanted us to know what sin is so we could learn, and not be like an "animal". A lot of people will say, well that is because God planned all of this. Where does it say this??? what is that belief based on? that god had planned the devil to decieve us. Doesn't that seem like a waste of time? why go through all the trouble of creating evil just for fun?

open minded answers please. and keep respectful.

I do not belong to any religion, but this thought just seemed interesting.
respectfully speaking as well, that is the way it seems haha
Marblebarble where are you getting all this information from?? where does it say that god knew that. are you just assuming so it correlates with your story?
