The media has a warped vision of women. Not just on tv, but in magazines. Most models are a size 0. Why do they have such unrealistic standards for women?
I don't look at magazines and say I want to look like them. But a lot of people do.
Great question... my answer... because we as a society have allowed them to. We are the ones buying the magazines, watching the television, and buying into all the hype. It's pretty sad society we live in.
What's the media got to do with anything? I never understood some women strive to look like the latest model when you know whatever is "in" is going to change within two years. I've never stared at a male model and said "i'm going look like that" and meant it. Why can't women just be more relaxed with their bodies and learn to accept themselves?
No one put a gun to those women's head and told them to pose and portray themselves in a degrading way. They are probably just in it for the money. And since this has been going on for quite sometime, they see nothing wrong with it.
