His victim from 1976 Katie Hall, stated in an interview with Good Morning America that he had received a 50 year sentence for the rape as well as life sentence for the kidnapping. However the media is leaving this out. How could she be mistaken?

The media IS reporting that Garrido received a 50 year sentence and was paroled.
They are NOT reporting that he had also received a Life sentence on top of the 50 years. His victim from the 1976 incident stated that his sentence was 50 for the rape, AND Life for the kidnapping.
