1998 Ford Ranger - 4 cyl with a stick.
Over the past few days the low battery light on my dash has been randomly flickering on. Some times it stays on for 5 mins, sometimes for 1 second. When it does come on, my headlights/ dash lights dim and and the needle on my voltage gauge falls to just above the L mark. The truck hasn't actually stalled out or died yet, even when the low battery light has been on for an extended period while using my headlights and radio which leads me to believe the problem isn't the alternator.
Anyone else had this problem? I've checked most of my cables and grounds, and I've heard it could be my voltage regulator. Is this true?
